Testimonials

Karen Drill partnered with Comagine Health to assess our needs for adding a program evaluation function to our Systemwide Quality Improvement division, including recommendations on how this role would be positioned in the organization, the types of evaluation methods we’d likely use and how we might engage other staff (program, data analysts) to support evaluation activities. Karen asked thoughtful questions and prepared a final report that clearly articulated the key findings of the assessment and a clear path forward. Karen’s approach helped generate staff buy in and had the added benefit of educating our team on program evaluation. We’d definitely work with Karen again.

Dr. Drill is an excellent consultant and researcher. I have known her for a few years, and she is my number one go-to person when it comes to research. She recently worked with us on a needs assessment survey for our members. I find her to be highly skilled, flexible, and a great communicator. As many of us know, creating surveys is far more difficult than most people realize. With Dr. Drill’s guidance and expertise, we now have all the information we need to move forward with our programming. I highly recommend her for your small and large projects.

Karen Drill is a frequent contributor in my graduate classes. She has presented on mixed methods program evaluation and provided a personalized training on NVIVO qualitative software for my doctoral students. Dr. Drill understands both the theory and practical issues needed to address these topics and is skillful in engaging diverse audiences. She is a true expert in her field. Her presentations really helped my students grasp the rationale and strategies behind mixed methods research and how NVIVO can be useful tool for qualitative research. Her ability to tailor the NVIVO training and engage high level graduate students was outstanding --- even better than the proprietary trainings I've used in the past! I will also be utilizing her skills in both quantitative and qualitative data analysis to execute my next project. I have also referred Dr. Drill to my colleagues at the Brown School of Social Work because she has unique skills in designing and carrying out social research and is a great collaborator.

Karen came onto a complex project mid-stream and was an immediate asset. Her questions, insights and fresh eyes, along with her data expertise, were invaluable. Her willingness to learn, ask questions, and immediately be a productive, positive member of our team is a testament both to her professionalism and her humanity. She cares about the work she is involved in, the people she works with, and the people her work serves.
